inger-songwriter Rozzi has just dropped her debut single “Never Over You” with Small Giant/Columbia Records, and y’all…you’re gonna wanna hear this. Trust us.
Rozzi’s full name is Rozzi Crane, and she was the first artist signed onto Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine’s record company, 222 Records, in 2011. There, Rozzi released EPs titled “Space” and “Time” and even toured with Maroon 5 in 2013. The San Francisco native was also featured in the band’s track “Come Away to the Water” for The Hunger Games soundtrack.
Having since parted ways with 222 Records, Rozzi is set to release a full-length album this year with Small Giant/Columbia Records. In her new track, the 26-year-old artist croons about the all too relatable woes of love.
“I wrote 'Never Over You' when I was in a fight with my boyfriend,” Rozzi tells HelloGiggles. “I was frustrated by a lot, but what I kept coming back to was despite all the things I was 'over', I wasn't over him. I remember coming up with 'I overthink and you overdrink' and knowing it was a song I wanted to finish.”
